Marc Miethe is one of the true innovators of contemporary Didgeridoo style. He is liberating mankind’s oldest known wind instrument, elevating the Didgeridoo from it’s image of being an „accompanying drone instrument“ into a new status. With his fresh and extraordinary skills, a lot of taste and humor, it is his aim to explore the multiple possibilities of this simple wooden tube.

In his project “TOOBES: Exotic Big Beat with Tubes & Loops, Toys & Flutes” Marc is adding a looping device to record himself on the fly, completing the One Man Sonic Sounds Orchestra.

He transforms percussion vocalization, as well as beat box Styles and jazz scat improvisations onto the didge. He weaves virtuous breakbeats and powerful melodic bass lines into his full spectrum of driving rhythmic and exotic soundscapes.
