Spectacular big beats and loops from one of the pioneer Didgeridoo Artists in Europe!
With surprising ease, the Berlin didgeridoo professional Marc Miethe transforms a hollow branch, a tuneable plastic tube or his hollow hand into a spectacular rhythm machine. When he finally plays these organic templates in a looping device to accompany himself, there’s really no indication that he’s done it all by mouth.
Marc Miethe is one of the most outstanding players in Europe and since 1992 has been pioneering the old wind instrument of the Australian Aborigines in Germany. He plays it with “literally spectacular” virtuosity, with an “intensity and a wealth of ideas that is second to none” and thus can trigger “true enthusiasm storms” (press quotes)! Sometimes it sounds like an electronic Groovebox, sometimes like a whole landscape of rhythms and sounds.
Marc Miethe had numerous appearances and workshops at Europe-wide festivals, didgeridoo and company events, at trade fairs as well as on radio and TV. Some highlights included a tour with the Indian superstar Arijit Singh (MTV India Tour), he played with the brass quintet of the Staatskapelle Berlin, at Five years Pop Meets Classic, the Klangzeit Festival, DLD Conference, World Youth Festival, Respect Festival Prague, Fusion Festival, Sennheiser Global Conference , BMW Formula One Party, Thomas Cook, MTV Select or the official opening of the 12th IAAF World Championship.
