Rootsound Alchemist

Sound Ritual Collective

Rootsound Alchemist is a Sound Ritual Collective, founded by Anir Leben (Voice, Guitar) and Marc Miethe (Didgeridoo, Percussion) with guest musicians on Drums (Illari Arbe, Philipp Kullen … ) & other instruments. With the frequencies of guitar, flute, and other instrumental colors, we create soundscapes that invite you to the ecstatic birth of your moment. Our Sound Journeys and trance-like ecstatic dances guide you into deeper levels of your consciousness, allowing you to experience the healing power of sound in a transformative way.

Our mission is to remind you of what you truly are. The organic connection between the inner and the outer, the infinite expanse of your heart, and the freedom to let your life flow fully through you. We create spaces where you can experience yourself and relax, dance, and sing in deep connection with the Earth, the beauty of your soul, and your magical body-temple.

Rootsound Alchemist´s Sound Rituals are calling you home.

ANIR LEBEN

Vocal Mystic, Embodied Creative, and Somatic Mentor devoted to the sacred intelligence of voice, body, and ritual.

Rooted in shamanic practice since age 17, her path weaves together ancestral remembrance, psycho-spiritual discernment, and the relational arts of communication, improvisation, and trauma-informed integration.

As a certified VITA Coach, trained dancer, water therapist, and longtime Contact Improviser, she opens pathways to embodied presence, erotic aliveness, and integral expression. As a sound artist, she explores the voice as a living, relational instrument. Through Sound journeys, 1:1 mentorships, Somatic Voice sessions, and immersive ritual spaces, she invites others into deep reconnection with life, embracing complexity, inner truth, and soulful co-creation with this One Sacred Reality.

MARC MIETHE

Didgeridoo artist and teacher Marc Miethe began his musical career in the children’s choir of the Deutsche Oper Berlin and discovered the didgeridoo as a bassist in 1992. Since then, he has played in various bands and solo projects, developing his unique approach to the didgeridoo.

He has performed and held workshops at global festivals, didgeridoo events, corporate functions, trade fairs, as well as on radio and television. A few notable appearances include: Berliner Symphonics, Staatskapelle Berlin, Arijit Singh, Pop Meets Classic, Klangzeit Festival, Fusion Festival, Love parade, Thomas Cook, MTV Select, and the official opening of the 12th IAAF World Championships.

A trained body psychotherapist, Marc has shared his knowledge as a teacher since 1994 and has published several articles on didgeridoo playing.

In addition to rhythmic singing, used in jazz and various cultures around the world, Marc also applies modified mouth percussion techniques such as “beat-boxing” (mouth drumming) to the didgeridoo. His particularly percussive and powerful playing style owes much to the pulse of his hometown, Berlin.

Our Guests

ILLARI ARBE aka La Mujer Tambor

Illari Arbe, also known as La Mujer Tambor, is a talented drummer and percussionist from Peru, whose musical journey began at the age of 10. Early on, she gained experience in various musical settings and discovered the transformative power of the drum. However, her journey went beyond traditional contexts when she realized that the drum could be a powerful tool for spiritual connection and personal transformation.

Today, Illari uses her skills to guide sound journeys, where she creates deep trance states with her drums, leading people into inner worlds. Her work is shaped by the vision of expanding consciousness through music and sound, opening access to intuitive, healing experiences. Of particular importance to her is her work with women, for whom she offers specialized women’s circles. In these circles, she helps awaken the “wild woman” within us – that powerful, primal energy that slumbers deep within each of us.

With each drum, each beat, and each rhythm, Illari invites people to explore their inner worlds, deepen their connection to their bodies and the Earth, and experience the healing power of sound. Her music is not only an expression of creativity but also a portal to spiritual and emotional experiences that help people find their true essence.

Philipp Kullen

Philipp Kullen discovered his love for rhythm early, playing in school bands from the age of 10. By 19, his passion had taken him across the world to study percussion in Cuba, New York, Brazil, and Spain, before earning his diploma in Berlin.

His career has taken him to major stages across Europe, touring with acts like US5, Miss Platnum, and Chico Trujillo. In the studio, he’s collaborated with renowned artists such as Jazzanova and Dota Kehr. On the international theater scene, he’s performed in productions by Robert Wilson and Jean Bellorini, gracing venues like the Berlin Philharmonie and festivals such as Montreux.

After completing a Master’s in Sound Studies at the University of the Arts (UDK) Berlin, he expanded into composing for theater and dance. Yet, his deepest passion remains the same: the power of live grooves, shared joy, and musical connection on stage.
